ABOUT TRAINING GROUNDS

WE SUPPORT YOU TO SUCCEED

We guide our members to understand their inner strengths and develop their physical and mental skills to succeed.

WE WELCOME EVERYONE

Training Grounds has an inclusive, safe, supportive atmosphere. Everyone is welcomed and encouraged whatever their goals or abilities.

WE PROMOTE BALANCE

We believe that Martial Arts is as much a philosophy and way of life as it is a physical pursuit, and we encourage members to develop at their own pace.

THE TRAINING GROUNDS PHILOSOPHY

At Training Grounds we are passionate about the benefits of Martial Arts, not only for development of physical strength, agility, endurance and cardiovascular fitness, but also for mental and spiritual wellbeing. Our focus is on enabling people to achieve more than they ever thought possible. At Training Grounds you will gain a Martial Arts skill, physical strength and confidence. However, we also help our members to become more confident, motivated, empowered and in control of their life.

Our goal is to provide our members with a safe and healthy environment to learn any or all of the martial arts disciplines we offer, from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai, to Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts. We emphasise the importance of team work, good sportsmanship and fair play. We encourage our members to improve mentally, spiritually and physically, becoming better all-around people. Our members will also develop self-esteem and self-confidence from learning different forms of self-defence.

OUR HISTORY

When Scott Ireland took over Training Grounds in 2016, Scott felt passionate about maintaining the inclusive, multi-disciplined and welcoming club he had already been a part of as an instructor for 2 years.

Training Grounds valued their team of instructors from the outset and had always striven to bring the best team possible to their members. One thing that sets Training Grounds apart from other gyms is that you have the freedom to train in a multidisciplinary atmosphere.

One of our main aims is flexibility. We offer a broad range of disciplines and our timetable allows you to train in up to four different classes in one day. You are free to train at your own pace, depending on what you can fit into your schedule. Whether your interest is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, Mixed Martial Arts or Muay Thai, we cover all aspects of these martial arts individually. It doesn’t matter if you are a casual member or competitive athlete, we cater for everyone equally.
